I hope you’re doing well as we cruise our way through January. How the time goes by!
\nDo You Need Music Equipment? Then keep reading.
\nI wanted to reach out with a “public service” announcement for those that might benefit from it.
\nFor anyone who might need music gear (I know some folks transitioning to performing in the retirement community, or just starting out, might need equipment they don’t have. I cover what equipment I recommend for retirement community performing in the \"Perfect Your Performance\" section #3 and #4 of the course ).
\nThe annual NAMM show (National Association of Music Merchants) just wrapped up a few days ago. So all the new merchandise has been introduced, exhibited, and purchased for the major music equipment stores. What that means for us is these store will be wanting to unload any older inventory that will be replaced by newer models.
\nMost of the year end clearance specials have been promoted and completed, but I think it’s worth a phone call to your favorite provider if you need anything (and are looking for a deal on last years models), to see if they might have something for you. It couldn’t hurt.
\nIn fact I just recently received an email from one of the companies I do business with urging me to give them a call if I need anything while they can do a substantial discount on left over stock.
\nI’m going to mention here who I usually contact first when I need something, in the event you don’t have \"go to\" people you usually deal with. (I receive nothing out of these recommendations, I’ve just come to trust and rely on them). I mention these same folks in the “Inspire the Retired” course.
\nAt Sweetwater Sound (https://www.sweetwater.com) you can contact Jesse Duquette (jesse_duquette@sweetwater.com)
\nAt Musicians Friend (https://www.musiciansfriend.com/) Chris Alfaro Christopher.Alfaro@musiciansfriend.com
\nAnd when I go to a store to pick something up I start at Manchester Music Mill (https://manchestermusicmill.com/) and see Peter Buciak (peter@manchestermusicmill.com) and he always does his best for me (they’re able to ship anywhere).
\nOk, that’s it for now. I’ll get back to you soon with more content related to performing in the retirement community.
\nAs I mentioned in the course, I’m no go to guy for equipment. I try to spend as little as I can on gear and use what I have as long as it’s doing a great job for me, but If you have any questions I’ll be happy to help you as best I can.
\nYou can reach out to me at this email,
\nor you can join the community on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561309325891),
\nor the insiders community page on the course site (https://rich-s-site-850f.thinkific.com/products/communities/inspire-the-retired-insiders).
\nI hope some of you found this useful.
\nAll the best as you continue using your gifts to bless others!
